This Boy

You can hear the distinct voice of John Lennon when Sean is singing solo. Astonishing!

I live my life by the second
I look far as I count the second
By the time that minute ends
The world seems to come to the end

I memorize every moment
I try to preserve every element
Give me the chance to remember
And that will be the time that I am a lover

The roses seems to bloom in the summer
But the lilies die in the winter
The sun will always shine now and forever
But I'll be here for the worse and the better

Green Day

I have been a fan of Green Day ever since I discovered punk rock music in 1997. Nimrod was the first punk rock album I've ever bought. I felt free after listening to that album. I've discovered something that changed my life forever. The anger, love, lust and forgiving story are all combined into that one powerful CD.

Then I went on to dig their old stuff such as 39/Smooth, Kerplunk, Dookie and Insomniac. It was the times that I was rebellious. It was the reason that I wanted to learn to play the guitar. To be as cool as Bllie and have a great band mates like Mike and Tre. I was the only guy that listen to their songs extensively while others were listening to Korn and Limp Bizkit (though I was listening to them too) but I was the only one that knows all the lyrics to all of Green Day songs. Their first two albums spoke to me as if telling me, "Hey man, don't worry everything is gonna be fine. You're not the only one in the world that is going through this." It was the times of my high school lovely dovey days about girls and stuff. Some songs still connects to me even until now.

I was in a band and we would play When I Come Around lots of times in the studio. They were the reason we made a band at the first place. I would watch many of their concerts through youtube and buy bootleg CDs and cassettes to hear them live and feel the energy. I would strap on my Strat guitar in my room put on the head phones play Basket Case and rock my socks out jamming to their tunes and imagining I was jamming with them in front of tens of thousands of screaming crowd.

Tonight was a blast, a dream come true. for more than 12 to 13 years of my life listening to their songs I finally got a chance to see them live. It was exhausting, exciting, entertaining, emotional, sentimental, powerful and enlightening experience for me. It's like I feel as if my life has been fulfilled. I have been to dozens of concerts and gigs for more than 14 years of my life and this is by far the best of them all. They were strong, funny and mind blowing. May be it's just me. But hell, I saw the crown at my back, everyone was getting their ass up and rocking their socks off as well.

I want to thank you Green Day for giving me The Best Time of my music life. There's nothing that could ever change that. I will still listen to your songs even when I turn grey and wrinkled and pass along your songs to the next generation. Again thank you for this and for making the music that has been there for me. Thank You.

Butterfly, Sea and Rain

At this forsaken night I ponder
A whiskey on one hand and a cigarette on the other
If I would ever see that butterfly again
The one that flaps its wings in the rain

A knock on the door is what I'm waiting for
I just wish it is the open sea when I turn the knob
The deep blue water is always to die for
But it is always the beach that we receive

If only the ink would dry out in the winter
It will go beyond believe to its highland
Just like they say, there's a rainbow after the rain
And I would say "I've never seen the end"

Parachute

The power of internet is great. Without it I wouldn't have discovered great bands with wonderful music that they produce, such as this one.

I've been beaten down, I've been kicked around,
But she takes it all for me.
And I lost my faith, in my darkest days,
But she makes me want to believe.

They call her love, love, love, love, love.
They call her love, love, love, love, love.
She is love, and she is all I need.

She's all I need.

Well I had my ways, they were all in vain,
But she waited patiently.
It was all the same, all my pride and shame,
And she put me on my feet.

They call her love, love, love, love, love.
They call her love, love, love, love, love.
They call her love, love, love, love, love.
She is love, and she is all I need.

And when that world slows down, dear.
And when those stars burn out, here.
Oh she'll be there, yes she'll be there,
They call her love, love, love, love, love.
They call her love, love, love, love, love.
They call her love, love, love, love. love.

She is love, and she is all I need,
She is love, and she is all I need,
She is love, and she is all I need.
